Doing something special and impeccable has been always the thought of this legendary actress Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana. She is paying a rich tribute to this cinema industry by conducting a Short Film Making workshop for a fortnight coinciding with her 50 years of existence in cinema industry.

Something admirable and for the first time on this moment is the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences – OSCARS joining this short film making workshop with Christ University, VIBHA Charitable trust of Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana and Film and Television Institute of India Pune supervising the noble thought.

The wish of Dr Vishnu and Dr Bharathi to start a branch of Pune Film and Television Institute of India is also materializing soon on 2 acres of land provided for Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial. The faculty from Kannada Tamil film industry and FTII are taking courses for students on Saturday and Sunday from morning 9 to 9 pm.

The inauguration of this Short Film making is on 14th of August birthday of Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana at 5 pm at Central Block Auditorium of Christ University. In this workshop basic element of direction, story, screenplay, shooting, cinematography, writing documentary, fundamentals of animation, short film construction, Scripting and story boarding for a short film, audiography, budgeting for the film production are contents of the short film making course.

Something useful to this film industry was the thought going for some time and this short film making has come to the notice stated Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana addressing the media. Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana on the golden jubilee stay of her profession said it is parents wish, husband Dr Vishnu guidelines brought her to this stage with great cooperation from makers and audience.

Anirudh Jathakara, son in law of Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana outlined the program for short film making; mass communication head of Christ University was also present.
